Avithos Beach

Avithos Kefalonia: Avithos is a quite beautiful beach with crystalline waters located 12km southwest of Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia and very close to the village of Svoronata. The beach consists of reddish sand and an impressive mountain backdrop.

Surrounded by verdant vegetation and nice facilities, Avithos makes the ideal environment for children offering many games in the sand and in the shallow waters. A couple of nice taverns are found in close distance from the beach offering delicious meals from the local cuisine.

The beach of Avithos offers great views to the tiny islet of Dias and the small church that stands on top. The sunset here is one of my favourites in Kefalonia. It is a really nice beach and definitely among the best in the south coast of Kefalonia.
