Beautiful views within the fantastic pool area. The pool really is a great size for swimming and for the children to play.
Loved being able to walk to such a beautiful, natural beach nearby (might be tricky to walk up/down with very young children but my youngest at 6 years old were absolutely fine).
Host was perfect, very responsive, friendly and helpfully booked us a lovely local restaurant for our first night.

It has a large pool (unheated as with most villas) and a beautiful... read more interior design to the little details - large towels for both pool and shower, fully equipped kitchen with every item needed (paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher tablets, dish soap, saran wrap, aluminium foil, etc.). All you need to do is buy food!
A nice welcome was cold mineral water, soft drinks, beer and wine, which awaited us in the refrigerator.
Neil generously allowed us to check out late as there was nobody else arriving that day.
I would only note that the nearby sandy Kanali beach is not an easy stroll but rather a steep hike downhill and then uphill, although it was beautiful and almost empty.
There are several good restaurants nearby in walking distance.
Also note that the front door locks automatically so make sure you have the key when you go out.
Although the price is high it is definitely worth it!

The villa and grounds are absolutely stunning.... read more The pool was fantastic and the outdoor furniture was perfect for spending an entire day at the pool. The villa itself is completely renovated and absolutely pristine, and the kitchen is fully equipped. Neil and Alexandra were wonderful hosts who checked in with us multiple times to make sure we were enjoying our holiday, and they were also extremely helpful in providing great recommendations for restaurants, sight-seeing, etc.

When I return to Kefalonia there is no doubt I will be staying at Neil and Alexandra’s property again- I cannot say enough positive things about my time there.

The infinity pool 10x5m is of the right size and the area around it has all the amenities of the right quality (no plastic) for six people. In short, Neil has delivered even more than what promised and I would highly recommend staying at either villa Carisma or Arte.
One last word for Maria, the housekeeper. She is maintaining the villa and its surrounding area spotlessly clean and is always available to answer queries or take action as necessary.

  Super private villa in peaceful beautiful surroundings. Villa Carisma was precisely what we were looking for, for a week’s break on Kefallonia. The villa is finished to a very high... read more standard and the layout on one floor with easy access to outdoor eating areas and around the pool was perfect. Plenty of parking space, easy to find, walkable to some great restaurants with a sea view and mountain backdrop. We had a great stay here, will certainly return and can’t recommend enough. Neil and his housekeeper Lora were excellent communicators - quick to respond to any queries. He has a few other villas which all look lovely too.

The location is excellent. We rented a car but it is not absolutely necessary if you don’t mind walking a bit. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby and Trapezaki beach is wonderful!

Neil and Maria were great hosts and responded almost immediately to every message and request.
